What a day! Good thing I don't have many like this. This was enough to last awhile..
This afternoon I was going to the bathroom, and Landon was in the bathroom with me. He was playing with his cars, or so I thought. I come out and he has a bloody goatee. I said 'Landon!'. I didn't freak as much as I thought I would have. But he had gotten ahold of Chris' razor and tried to shave himself like Chris does. He cut his lip and it wouldn't stop bleeding. I would hold it down and then take off the tissue and it would pour out. This went on for about 10 minutes. I called Urgent Care and they told me to bring him in. They told me to keep pressure on it until I got there. YEAHHH. Kind of impossible when it's just me, a 2 year old, and a 1 yr old. Trying to tell a 2 yr old to hold it down was a joke. He wanted to 'see' it. So I gave him my mirror and he held it on there while watching himself in the mirror while I drove to Urgent Care.
They took us back immediately and cleaned him all up. He was such a trooper. He didn't even cry once. The DR said it wasn't deep enough for stitches and to keep an eye on it. If it didn't stop bleeding to come back. She even told me to go ahead and go, and didn't charge me a penny! How often does that happen?
So...then I get home to do my chores, and go to feed the dogs. I open the door and yell for Missy! She doesn't come. I go out there and the side gate has blown open. When the gardners were here on Saturday they didn't latch the gate and when we had high winds it blew open, and she got to the side yard and went under the gate. I drove around looking all over, she's gone.
I come home..
Walk down the hall..and there is a LIZARD in my house! I don't do lizards, snakes, spiders! So i'm totally grossed out. It runs into the office! Great! Chris won't be home tomorrow, so i'm on my own with this lizard. I decide to stuff the door with a towel, and tape the french doors shut with shipping tape so that all 'holes' were closed off and he/she couldn't get out!
I'm so glad today is over, but I just wish Missy was home! :(
