My parents visits always come and go way too fast! Tomorrow is our last day together. They leave bright and early Thursday morning. Chris is going to take them to the airport on his way to work.
We've had a great time. I love having them here, and the kids love having them here. Even Chris enjoys their company! My mom and I spend a lot of time in the kitchen making all of the meals, but it's fun. The dishes? Not so much, but she has been doing those too! So nice!
All I hear is 'Mema....Mema....Mema....Papa...Papa...Papa'. Lilah can say both of their names really good now, it's cute! They will be sad to see them go, and Landon will ask Where's Mema? Where's Papa? for about a week, and then we'll be back to normal.
Sure wish they lived closer!
Today we went to breakfast and then took them to the Sixth Floor Museum in Dallas where Kennedy was shot. www.jfk.org
I thought I would be bored to tears, but it was really quite interesting. They gave you headphones (germaphobe me, wondered the whole time I was wearing them who all had them on before me and if they were steralized! LOL)...and you listen to audio as you go thru the museum. It tells you all about the different parts of the museum and where to go next, and what happened, and where. Really cool. I learned a few things today!
After that we went to lunch and then it was time to get Landon from school. School always goes by so fast! Then we came home briefly and then my mom, Landon, and I went up to Kohl's to get a few things. It's just not the same as Mervyns, but it will do. I miss Mervyns!
Then tonight I made my yummy italian/brown sugar chicken and we watched the Biggest Loser Finale. I love watching TV with my dad and making him stay up way past his bedtime. So much fun!
Tomorrow is our last day, and i'm sure it will fly by! I'm hoping not! Looking forward to their next trip, whenever that will be!
