Crying Fixes EVERYTHING!

I'm a firm believer that crying fixes everything! For me it does. It works everytime. Just turn on the water works and bam--problem fixed! Well most of the time.

This morning Charlie had an appointment to get his last round of puppy shots. It was freezing outside so I wanted him to be toasty warm. He had on a cute sweater. I debated on whether or not to just put him in the car with me or put him in his kennel. I decided to put him in his kennel which was the smartest thing i've done all day!

I had stopped by Sonic to get me a diet cherry coke and had barely pulled out of the parking lot with Charlie in the far back in his kennel. All of a sudden, I smell a really bad TOOT. I was like 'Dang, Charlie!'. So i'm hoping the smell passes soon and it doesn't. He hasn't been in the car since his last visit which was over a month ago, so being in the car literally scared the $hit out of him. I mean, OUT of him. It was the most disgusting smell ever. I was dry heeving, and just totally grossed out. I couldn't even drink my coke because it had been contaminated with this foul odor and i'm sure it was on the straw at this point! (Doubtful I know, but my drink was ruined!).

So i'm driving down the road with all 4 windows down in the FREEZING cold, it was 42 degrees, I had my hoodie on my head and the heater on full blast. I couldn't get there fast enough. But what was *I* going to do with a sweater covered poop dog? I was alone, and I sure wasn't going to deal with it. I could deal with some nuggets, but this was a full on butt explosion. TMI, I know but live it with me! Feel my pain! lol

So I call my dad--like what is he going to do? He's in California! He is of no help so I tell him I have to go. I go inside to tell the girls, and I started to cry. They ask what's wrong? I said 'Charlie pooped all over himself and the kennel, and *I can't deal with it'. You know they wanted to laugh, but they didn't. They said it was OK and that they would have their highschool helper boys take care of it. They came out to the rescue and I told them I was sorry. I told them they could keep the sweater that I didn't want it back!

So they took him in the poop covered kennel and took him back and cleaned him all up, cleaned up my kennel and even disinfected it! They were really sweet. We laughed about it after the fact, but how disgusting! The vet even came in laughing asking 'What happened'. I'm sure they had a real good laugh after I left. But hey, at least *I* didn't have to clean it up!

If they would have handed me a roll of paper towels I would have told them 'I'll be back' and just taken him home and there he would have sat until Chris dealt with it! Kid poop and dog poop are two different stories! NO THANKS!

After I composed myself (it was a brief cry, just enough to get some help! lol) I told them I would be right back. I had brought them a Scentsy Warmer and a bar of Blueberry Cheesecake. I told them 'Nothing like good timing!'. We laughed. They have been SO sweet and so nice to me. They are the ones that cared so much about Missy when I lost her. They weren't even my vet at the time, I was just calling to see if they had seen her. After that, I switched immediately and they've been more than nice.

Now i'll have to go back there on Monday and take the boys a little something to thank them. I'm sure they were as equally disgusted!

On a positive ending note, Mister Pooper Aka Charlie is now 12.5lbs from the mere 6oz when he was born and is a healthy happy boy. AND...he made it home without another accident!

So....the moral of the story is...If you need some help, just cry! Landon taught me that! ;)
